2 Day Statement Ring Workshop | June 23 + 30

Dates: Sunday June 23 + 30

Time: 2-6 pm

Location: Redux Art Center 1056 King St. Studio 30

In this two part class students will take their skills up a notch by creating a statement gemstone ring.  Working with unique and abnormally shaped stones, we will create our stone setting and add some design details around the stone before making it into a ring.  Working with sterling silver sheet and wire and naturally mined gemstones we will create a statement ring from start to finish over the course of the two classes. This class will cover multi-step soldering, fabrication, finishing and stone setting techniques. Students will have the option to select a stone from instructors OR can bring their own stone if approved beforehand by instructors. All materials are provided to make a basic statement ring. Students will have the freedom to get creative with their ring designs! See some sample ideas in the sample photos for this class.

Students who have taken this class will also get six months of trial access to Wholesale benefits through Rio Grande Jewelry Supply.  This allows you professional level access to tools and supplies without requiring you to have a business license and wholesale account, perfect for if you want to continue practicing your skills at home!

Some experience is necessary.  We would recommend you take our first level Gemstone Ring Workshop or have some previous soldering and sawing experience.

**As this is not a physical product you do not need to purchase shipping insurance at checkout. This cannot be refunded if you accidentally purchase it!**

If you are ordering a ring with a wide band, it is recommended to order a half size larger than usual to ensure a comfortable fit.

I do not offer resizing on most of the rings I make. If you are unsure of your ring size, please see my blog post on how to determine your ring size.

You can purchase a ring sizer from me which will be immediately shipped to you so that you can accurately measure your ring size.

The standard size for Kaypea Jewelry bracelets is 5 1/2 to 5 3/4 inches with an approximately 1 inch gap. The gap is slightly adjustable to accommodate smaller or larger wrists.

If you need a different size on a made to order item please specify that in your order notes. Size requests can always be accommodated on made to order pieces and ready to ship items can often be sized down

All Kaypea Jewelry items are handmade in Charleston, SC. For made to order pieces, please allow up to 14 days of production time before your items ships.

All domestic orders are shipped with USPS. You will receive a tracking number when your item ships. International orders also ship via USPS.

Low cost order protection is available at check out and is highly recommended to insure your order in case your package is lost, damaged or stolen, especially for orders over $100.

Jewelry Care

To keep your piece looking it's best please remove before bathing, swimming or exercising. Avoid spraying perfumes, hairsprays or other chemicals as these may cause discoloration.

The inherent nature of metal causes silver and especially brass to develop a natural patina over time from exposure to oxygen and moisture from the skin. You can restore the luster on the surface of our metal pieces using a treated polishing cloth. A small polishing cloth will be included with your order.
